I am a digital and television news-magazine producer.

For me, this work has always been about amplifying voices that need to reach a wider audience— telling stories that help us better understand ourselves and others.

I've met polygamists, soldiers, movie stars, felons, Nobel prize winners, multi-millionaires, and homeless people. I seek out those whose passions and circumstances reflect a distinct perspective on our world, and whose understanding of themselves offers unexpected nuance.

I am a good interviewer because I’m a thoughtful listener. I know how to put people at ease in front of a camera, and engage with them to elicit unguarded comments.

I believe to make a story sing it needs a twist that takes us to an unanticipated destination. It is not enough to provide viewers with answers. The key to a great story is to open up a fresh set of questions. That is the magic I try to bring to my reports.

I love to find the parts of a story that haven’t been told. Finding those elements, beyond my own expectations, feels much like the moment an airplane lifts off the ground: leaving behind familiar territory, entering a new beginning.
